The Clatural Academy for Sustainable Art (CASA) is driven by the mission of Clatural Wear LLC, a premium ethically sustainable fashion brand. CASA is committed to providing transformative training in sustainable art creation from textile waste. Our primary aim is to empower marginalized women and individuals with disabilities, enabling them to transform textile waste into valuable art pieces, both wearable and non-wearable, while adhering to a zero-waste philosophy.
We offer customized training modules for artisans and seamstresses, equipping them with sustainable practices, essential knowledge, and entrepreneurship resources. This approach fosters innovation, allowing them to create value from waste effectively.
We take a personalized approach to our training , tailoring our services to meet the unique talents, skills and needs of each student. Our experienced educators work closely with students to help them transform and innovate in sustainable production processes and ready on the path to succeed
At CASA, we are pioneering sustainable fashion in Ghana through a comprehensive training approach that emphasizes strong governance and stakeholder engagement. Our governance team, comprised of experienced entrepreneurs, legal experts, and fashion technologists, ensures efficiency, accountability, and transparency in offering theoretical and interactive hands-on practical sessions with emphasis on creating wealth from waste and the urgency of responsible consumption and production for a greener environment.
Our primary goal is to provide skills and capacity training that fosters decent employment opportunities and entrepreneurship. We are committed to promoting sustainability, gender equality, inclusivity, and responsible consumption and production in all our initiatives.
Central to our strategy is our zero-waste tolerance policy, which focuses on responsible production methods. We utilize innovative techniques to transform textile waste into unique, visually striking wearable and non-wearable items. This commitment to sustainability not only promotes accountability but also cultivates a culture of ethics within our organization.
As we strive towards our 2030 goals, we remain dedicated to integrating ethical guidelines and sustainability principles into our training and operational processes, reinforcing our position as leaders in the sustainable fashion movement.
At Clatural, we pride ourselves on our innovative and responsible production methods that transform textile waste into unique art masterpieces, both wearable and non-wearable. Every two weeks, we repurpose an average of 2.8 tons of textile waste, breathing new life into what would otherwise be discarded.
Our signature designs—MESH, SHEM, and DIORSH—are available in sustainable fashion retail outlets like The Canvas in New York, where they are sold in commercial quantities.
To ensure our efforts make a real impact, we regularly review our sustainability targets to align with global standards. This includes critical assessments of the volume of textile waste repurposed, the number of women and individuals with disabilities trained, and the influence of our sustainability initiatives within local communities and artisan networks.
Through these measures, we strive to promote both environmental sustainability and social inclusivity, driving meaningful change in the fashion industry.
